Our office is open Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. We stop recording at 4:30 p.m. Documents received after 4:30 p.m. will be recorded the next business day.

What are the recording fees?

The recording fee for any document up to 8 1/2 x 14: is $10.00 for the first page and $8.50 for each additional page of the same document. For documents with more than four names, there is an indexing fee of $1.00 per each additional name (this includes aka, etc. ).

State documentary stamps are figured at .70 cents per hundred or fraction thereof for deeds and .35 cents per hundred or fraction thereof on mortgages. Intangible tax is figured at .002 cents per hundred on actual amount.

What are the recording requirements for deeds?

PER FLORIDA STATUTES:

  • The signature of the grantor(s) must be notarized with the name and address printed below each signature. The notary’s name must also be printed.
  • Two individual witnesses subscribing to the grantor(s) signature. Witness names must be printed below their signatures.
  • Complete legal description must appear on the deed.
  • Mailing address of the grantee and preparer’s name and address must appear on the face of the deed.
  • The Recording department does not carry blank forms. These may be obtained through an office supply store, and attorney or a title company.

How can I obtain a copy of a recorded instrument?

Copies may be purchased in person or by written request. Copy fees are $1.00 per page for official records up to legal size. Plat copies are $5.00 per page. If certification is requested an additional $2.00 is charged for each instrument certified.

For US customers copies may also be ordered online using a credit card through a third-party vendor, MyFloridaCounty. Their site does not support shipping to an address outside of the United States.  Their website is www.MyFloridaCounty.com

Can I pay with a personal check?

Payment may be made with a Business check, cashiers check, money order or cash. Credit Cards are accepted with an additional convenience fee. No personal checks are accepted at this time.

What is required for a Declaration of Domicile?

You will need to bring a photo ID with $20.50 cash. A driver’s license from out of state is acceptable.
