Effective Monday, January 3, 2011, the public will be able to go to any AMSCOT location, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to pay their traffic citations. The following bullet points are helpful as a guide:
- Traffic citations must have been issued within the past 30 days
- A $2.50 transaction fee, per citation, will be charged by AMSCOT
- AMSCOT will only accept cash payments (there are ATMs located in each AMSCOT location and applicable ATM fees will be charged)
- The public may also elect to attend traffic school and pay the corresponding $7.00 fee at any AMSCOT location
- The subsequent traffic school affidavit must still be filed with the Clerk of Courts within 10 days (AMSCOT will not accept the affidavits)
- The Clerk of Courts will still accept payments in person or the public may elect to pay their citations on-line at www.MyFloridaCounty.com
- Those drivers who received citations for failure to display a driver's license, insurance, or valid registration, must still come to the Clerk of Courts Office to provide proof of same and pay the corresponding $10.00 fee within 30 days of the issuance of the citation
